Before we get started on the topic of How to Save Money on Food let me just state that I believe all other option of saving money should be tried first.
This simply means I don’t think budgeting $50 a week on food for a family of 4 is a very good idea at all. A family could save $50 dollars a week on other areas and then be able to have $100 dollars for food.
After all food is our energy/power supply, without good food to run our body we reduce our quality of life. think about it?
Now getting back to the subject on How to Save Money on Food.
- DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON JUNK FAST FOOD.
- PACK LUNCHES FOR SCHOOL AND WORK.
- MAKE A LIST/PLAN FOR THE WEEKS DINNER MEALS.
- AVOID THE JUNK FOOD AISLE AT THE SUPERMARKET.
- TRY AND BUY CHEAPER BRANDS.
Believe it or not just implementing these simple tips will reduce the amount you spend on food and even at the supermarket check out.
The body needs good foods to function, meat, chicken, fish are an important part of the human diet. I completely understand that the prices of these products have risen over time. In some cases people even feel that they are out of reach in there budget.
I can not express enough the need to look for other areas to reduce cost before cutting the family food budget.
The simple rule is THINK BEFOR YOU SPEND.
Is it more important to have cable TV or feed your family?.
Is it more important to have that new IPhone that costs $100 plus per month or put good food on the table?.
Does the family really need a new $25,000.00 – $50,000.00 car that cost minimum $100 a week or food in the fridge and pantry.
Just Think About it ???
I am all for cutting costs but not at the expense of my family’s well being and health.
